The Bushnell Yardage Pro XGC Plus Has Some Pretty Cool Features
Right off the top you will notice the large High Resolution screen. It provides you with a hole view in vivid, sun-light readable color. When you arrive at your course, grab you XGC Plus and turn it on, you will notice it has instant course recognition. No need to select your course from the huge list. As you move around the golf course this golf GPS will automatically advance to the next hole. And it gives you the ability to mark up to 4 custom points on each hole. That is pretty cool all by its self.
What Else Makes The Bushnell Yardage Pro XGC Plus Different?
Well the fact that its loaded with 16,000 course is pretty cool and the fact that there is no membership required is a real bonus to most golfers. It does have a shot distance calculator built in. But the best thing is if you decide not to go with the membership your Bushnell Yardage Pro XGC Plus will still work and you won’t lose all your courses like some other golf GPS systems. The fact that the Yardage Pro XGC Plus provides a “down the fairway” perspective to help you with your course management is pretty cool too. I did a lot of research on the Golf GPS units before I made the decision to purchase the Bushnell Yardage Pro XGC Plus. I am extremely happy with this unit.
- works like a charm, battery life is excellent. I’d say I burn about 20% of the battery life for a round of golf.
-the golf course map and the scorecard features are really cool and very useful. Most courses I’ve played have the map feature. At any time during the round you can get a scoring summary.
-the contrast on the color screen is excellent. Plus you can change the contrast at any time.
-yardages are right on.
-really easy to download the courses from the Bushnell website.
-the price on the Bushnell Yardage Pro XGC Plus is really good for what you get.

Pros: The Bushnell Yardage Pro XGC Plus is easy to use on course. Accurate yardages. Probably taken 5-7 strokes off. Holds 100 courses
Cons: The Bushnell Yardage Pro XGC Plus interface to download courses is a little slow. Be patient when downloading, then check downloads to make sure the course was fully downloaded. For $35/yr you get 100 course downloads (credits), BUT if a course has 27 holes, that counts as 3 credits used. If a course has 18 holes, its only 1 credit.
Overall, I saw the value in the Bushnell Yardage Pro XGC Plus over the others. The hole maps, distances to hazards are great, and using the Bushnell Yardage Pro XGC Plus was easy. It fits in my pocket without being distracting and battery life seems great.

The Bushnell Yardage Pro XGC Plus is awesome. It has a color screen, you can mark spots on the course, and on some courses you can see the distance to just about any spot on the course. Sometimes the Bushnell Yardage Pro XGC Plus does take a minute to pick up a signal but the majority of the time it is pretty quick. The Bushnell Yardage Pro XGC Plus lets you view how many satellites you are picking up.
Really the only negative I can say about the Bushnell Yardagr Pro XGC plus is that you cannot save your score after a round. It tells you your score with number of putts, pars, birdies, etc. but it doesn’t save it so you can look at it later although I think that is common on golf GPS’s.
