Callaway uPro – Play At A Whole New Level!
The Callaway uPro is probably the smallest golf GPS on the market, but don’t let that fool you. The uPro is packed with all the vital information that you need on the golf course. This golf GPS has a nice large high resolution display that is easy to read in direct sunlight. In fact, it has a transflective screen, meaning it uses the sunlight to illuminate the display. That’s pretty cool and you won’t find it on any other golf GPS.

The Callaway uPro Has More Cool Features!
This is the only golf GPS that gives you a fly over of the hole in play. At the start of each hole you get a PGA tour style video fly over. The yardage markers are super imposed in the imagery at 200, 150 and 100 yards. This gives you an idea of what the hole looks like so you can strategize your play. It is excellent for courses that you are new to. The auto lay-up feature is pretty cool too. It gives you the yardage to 100 and 150 yards from the middle of the green in play.

The Callaway uPro Has No Membership Fees Ever!
One of the biggest issues golfers have with other golf GPS systems are the annual membership fees. Well you don’t have to worry about that with the uPro because there are none. But and there is always a but, you do have to purchase the course maps. There is no need to purchase course maps, if you only want the basic mode, but then you don’t get all the other really cool features that this golf GPS has to offer.

“It is a great GPS. Scoring and statistics are nice, the hole fly over is well worth it.”

“Needed tech support for initial set up. After replacing defective usb cable, installation and setup was a snap. (Tech support people were great!) Accuracy on the course was right on, and the display was great. Lots of viewing options. Love the pro view, which has a slight cost. But worth it. Without an annual membership fee, buying this feature is palatable and reasonable.”

“Had a little issue loading the software onto my Mac but once I got to customer support they were very helpful and directed me to the correct site to get the most up to date software. After that, smooth sailing. The uPro performs as advertised.”

Excellent choice, Reviewed by: oldsigndog, Location: Vermont
“This is a very sophisticated device. Courses loaded easily and the GPS performs very well on the golf course. Takes a while to learn all of the features. My only concern was that there were many courses that had not been mapped in Vermont and upstate New York, which is my home area. Before purchasing, it might be a good idea to check courses available in your area of play.”

Waste of time for Canadians, Review By Sheldon Location: Calgary Alberta Canada
“I bought the top of the line SkyCaddie for the wife at the same time as I bought this for myself. I have to end up using her SkyCaddie or my iPhone app golf shot GPS because the UPro has so few Alberta and BC courses available to it. I’ve been waiting for over a year and see some courses with 600 requests for someone to map it (Kananaskis for example) yet they don’t have anyone to map them. I like the features but frankly feel like I wasted the $500 it cost at the time. I find both the wife’s Skycaddie and Golf shot GPS app to have the courses I play at while Skycaddie only has about 60% of them. I would look elsewhere.”

“I got the Callaway uPro 3 weeks now and I went from 13 to 11. I love in Pro mode. The best by far on the market!”
The biggest knocks against the Callaway uPro that I have found are a lack of mapped courses and some nagging software bugs. Also getting courses added to their data base isn’t easy either, some golfers have been waiting as long as 6 months. If you are lucky enough to not be bothered by either of these issues then you are among the folks that are very pleased with the Callaway uPro.
