“Distances when in lay out mode are much more accurate than the Tour or Pro models. Also there are more target points. Only knock is the Golf Buddy website. Bought their product and they haven’t updated their website to include it.”

“The unit works well overall. Golf Buddy has yet to survey most courses for the overview function. Only found 5 of 449 in the state I live in. I had a Pro model before and wouldn’t have purchased this one if I knew about the lack of surveyed courses.”

“I bought the unit in August and have used it for a week. Works well, accurate as far as I can tell, and fun to use. I had a Pro and this one has nice features and is easy to keep score and statistics. Previous reviews indicate that there are not a lot of full layout courses, but they are being added weekly and if you are in PA there are a lot.”

“Upgraded from Golf Buddy Tour, this unit has much more information and is very user friendly. Screen is easy to read and manipulate. My home course has full course view available and it works very well. Only drawback is it needs recharging after two rounds where Tour model would last three rounds. Small price to pay for so many new features.”

It seems like the biggest disappointment with the new Golf Buddy World Platinum is the lack of fully mapped courses. It is no different than most new systems in this regard. It takes time to map courses and their data bank will grow quickly.
