Performs exactly as advertised, By S. Vidmar Location: Albuquerque, NM I’ll admit it…I tried a cheaper product made by Garmin. It locked up every three or four rounds. After trying three units I gave up and bought the SG5. It works great.

The biggest knock there is against the SkyCaddie SG5 or any of the SkyGolf SkyCaddie models for that matter are the yearly membership fees. In my opinion it’s a small price to pay for the number of “Up To Date” mapped courses in their data base. Yes there are units ot there that do not require yearly fees, but before you buy one you had better make sure your course is in their data base! The SkyCaddie SG5 had a few minor software issues in the past but they have been straightened away.
