The Sonocaddie V500 Features Touch Point Positioning
The Sonocaddie V500 enables you to press any point around the color layout/satellite picture of the hole and instantly see the yardage from you to that spot and from there to the green.
The Sonocaddie V500 gives players with exact yardage data from any spot around the golf course. The V500 has a innovative graphical user interface that in fact displays YOUR location on the golf course all the time! While you proceed to your next stroke location, your placement is displayed, and the yardages to every important target are always up-to-date.
The V500 also has a built in electronic score card , but it does more than just keep your score, it also has built in statistical tracking capability. This golf GPS tracks everything from greens in regulation to up & downs and even sand saves. Another really nice feature of the new V500 is there are no annual fees.

“It sounds cliché to say “a unit that does it all” – but in this case it may be true. This V500 took all the best features from every GPS and rolled them into one unit.
1) Preloaded – meaning I am done paying for this and don’t have to pay fees for the next 3 years.- I needed to take a membership which was free and also gave me a free satellite package just for signing up.
2) Full color layout with lots of detail, the walking man icon shows you exactly where ‘you’ are on the fairway at any given point in time, accurate yardages, easy touch screen.
3) Fits nicely in my cart mount, and also in the pocket. Easily operated with one hand.
The only ‘con’ is that I didn’t have the time on the backlight set to last longer than 15 seconds.”

“I have been a happy owner / user of the Sonocaddie XV2 for some time so I didn’t hesitate to purchase their new, touch screen color golf GPS as soon as I got their announcement. It has a ton of features but I was especially interested in the ability to get distances to a target by touching the screen. It does this very well and it’s a snap to use. Unfortunately, the maps that come pre-loaded are, in many cases, terrible.”

“Overall- good. Easy to see. Accuracy is off as much as 20 yards compared to my Auto Play. I attribute that to better technology. I played it one time so far with my Auto Play together. I thought my calibration might be off so I recalibrated it. Haven’t played it since. I like all the features.”
